Or Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program
Under age
participants will be given the NRA Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program.
Young people are more prone to be curious about guns.
Depending on the comprehension level of children, they must
understand the potential harm that may occur if safety practices are
not followed. They may have developed varying perceptions of fantasy
and reality. This age group needs to know that guns are not toys and
that showing off with guns is not cool. Television and movies can
distort their perceptions. Children at this age need to understand
that gun use on television is fantasy.
The Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program is presented by
member volunteers who have been approved as instructors through the
NRA, it is adaptable from a five-day plan to a short one-hour
session. We use all or parts of the program to fit the needs of the
group.

A
written test will be administered to those participants who are
eligible (12 to 17 years
old) and participated in our ten week program for a one week

The test will be based upon what was cover in our Youth
Conservation Course over the prior 9 weeks. The highest score will
determine the winner. An additional point for each week you attended
(based upon the sign in sheet) will be added to your final score.
In addition, the score received for offsite Marksmanship will
